About Indicaí

Indicaí was born from a question every Brazilian in the United States has asked: "Do you know someone trustworthy who does this?"

We are a free directory of Brazilian professionals and services in the US — made by Brazilians, with care, for the Brazilian community. Here you'll find everyone from the manicurist and the hairdresser to realtors, seamstresses, and the person who makes the pamonha that cures homesickness.

Tem que ter QI. Here, QI stands for "Quem Indica" — who vouches — because in our community, good things have always arrived this way: someone you trust saying "go to this person, they're good."

Indicaí started in 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana, with a Brazilian family living in the US for 13 years, who noticed that the recommendations circulating in WhatsApp groups kept getting lost — every question asked again, every answer forgotten by the next day.

The idea: give those recommendations a permanent address. A place where the recommendation someone made yesterday helps whoever is searching tomorrow.

We started with Indianapolis and the surrounding region, and we grow one vouch at a time.
